I have been working in the animal care industry since 2018, while also having pets of my own my whole life. I have worked as a kennel and doggy daycare attendant at 2 boarding facilities, for a combination of almost 4 years total. I also have experience working as a kennel aide for a little over a year, where I helped tend to the daily care needs of our shelter residents at my local animal control. I was then promoted to kennel technician, working in this position for about a year and a half, helping to provide medical care to all animals in the shelters care. I have also completed some classes in a veterinary technician program, however I am not currently attending. I have experience administering oral, topical, and injectable (insulin) medications as well as handling nervous or scared cats and dogs from my time working at animal control.
